- 1 cup Onion Petals (1 Onion)
- 1 cup Green Pepper (Diced)-(1 Green Pepper)
- 1 cup Red Pepper (Diced)-(1 Red Pepper)
- 2 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 4 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 2 tsp White Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- Cornflour Slurry:
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
- 3 tbsp Water
- 2-3 tsp Spring Onion (Greens)-(For Garnish)
Steps to make to make Restaurant Style Chicken Manchurian
- Wash and drain the chicken. Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces or as per your choice. Add this to a bowl. To it, add black pepper powder, salt, ginger garlic paste and egg. Mix all the ingredients well and set aside for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, add cornflour. Mix till the flour coats the chicken.
- Keep all the ingredients ready for easy and quick preparation.
- For frying the chicken pieces, heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium flame. When oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces one by one into the hot oil and fry till golden. Fry few at a time in batches.
- When done remove on to a plate and set aside.
- Heat oil in a kadhai. Add garlic and stir fry for few seconds. Next add ginger and stir fry for few seconds. Now add the green chillies and continue to stir fry for half a minute.
- Add spring onion whites and stir fry for half a minute. Add the onion petals and stir fry for a minute.
- Add the green and red peppers and stir fry for a minute.
- Add soy sauce and tomato ketchup and stir fry for few seconds.
- Add white vinegar and black pepper powder and stir fry for few seconds.
- Add the fried chicken pieces. Mix well and stir fry for a minute till everything is coated with the sauce. Add cornflour slurry. Mix and stir fry for half a minute.
- Garnish with spring onion greens. Mix it well and stir fry for few seconds.
